Lesson 42
God is my strength. Vision is His gift. You will see because it is the Will of God. It is His strength, not your own, that gives you power. And it is His gift, rather than your own, that offers vision to you. God is your strength, and what He gives is truly given means that you can receive it any time and anywhere, wherever you are, and in whatever circumstance you find yourself. Your passage through time and space is not at random. You cannot but be in the right place at the right time. Such is the strength of God. Such are His gifts.

Nothing is at random, but there are twists and turns in our spiritual path. We can take a shortcut or we can take a long detour. The decision is ours. There are signs along the road that can lead us home sooner rather than later (Paolo Coelho). The Holy Spirit never leaves us. The problem is that we don’t see the HS signs or explain them away or allow our Ego to interpret them. The signs can be anything, a landscape truck blocking the road and suggesting that you should probably abandon your plans, a hummingbird hanging over your head and trying to whisper something into your ears, a friend saying something you failed to see, a face of Christ shining on you…. Sure enough our Ego would give its own “right” interpretation to convince us to stay on a narrow road, to follow the rules, to make it look good/right, and to stay in the shadow of our thinking minds.
It does not matter whether you’ve chosen a detour or a short cut as soon as you ask the Holy Spirit for help all external circumstances are turned into lessons of forgiveness.
