Review 1 Lesson 59
(41) God goes with me wherever I go.
(42) God is my strength. Vision is His gift.
(43) God is my Source. I cannot see apart from Him.
Statement #1 “God goes with wherever I go” means that God is with us because His Love is in our mind. Once we realize that our feelings of despair, disease, come from choosing Ego as our teacher we can undo it in an instant and choose Christ’s vision instead. How do we know is walking with us and which way we are going? The answer lies within us, but we need to be honest with ourselves for Ego often wears the Holy Spirit mask. “How can you know whether you chose the stairs to Heaven or the way to hell? Quite easily. What do you feel? Is peace in your awareness? Are you CERTAIN which way you go? And are you sure the goal of Heaven CAN be reached? If not, you walk alone. Ask, then, your Friend (HS) to JOIN with you, and GIVE you certainty of where you go. “ ( CH23, II)
Statement #5 “God is the mind in which I think” is undoing our belief that our thoughts are our own. As K. Wapnick noted in his comments to the Workbook, not only we believe that our thoughts are our own, we tell God what His thoughts are. Thus, God becomes as insane as we are. This is the second law of chaos: “ The arrogance on which the laws of chaos stand could not be more apparent than emerges here. Here is a principle which would define what the CREATOR of reality must be; what He MUST think, and what HE must believe; and how He must RESPOND, believing it. It is not seen as even necessary that He be asked about the truth of what has been established for His belief. His Son can TELL Him this, and He has but the choice whether to take his word for it, or be mistaken. “ It is good to remember that all laws in this world of chaos are created by the Ego with only one purpose. So, we fail them and feel guilty. Then our Ego can feel safe and secure, its existence is assured.
